EAD Automatic Extension
Prashant's efficiency, dedication, and expertise saved my job. I was in a stressful situation when my job was at risk, because I had never received my I-765 receipt notice from the USCIS Vermont Service Center. Even though I was eligible for a 540-day auto extension on my H4 EAD, my employer couldn't verify my I-9 without the receipt notice. I contacted Prashant, thinking I'd need to file a lawsuit, which could take up to 60 days for resolution. Instead of filing a lawsuit, he advised me to request the receipt notice directly from USCIS. After going back and forth with USCIS for a month, I still hadn't received my I765 receipt notice. I reached out to Prashant again, and he proposed a much more cost-effective solution than litigation. Instead of a lawsuit, he drafted a legal memo addressed to the Chief of the Civil Division (part of the U.S. Department of Justice) for the US District Court of Vermont, with whom Prashant has direct contact. He requested a copy of my I765 receipt notice through his contacts and charged much less than a lawsuit would have. Prashant emailed the Chief on a Wednesday evening, and by Thursday morning, I had my receipt in hand—within 12 hours! Crazy! It happened sooner than expected. I was amazed at how quickly he resolved such a critical issue. Prashant is truly the best attorney I've worked with, and I highly recommend him to anyone in need of immigration help.
